Grad student Meggie Crnic has been awarded a one-month Dissertation Research Fellowship from the Philadelphia Area Center for History of Science, and the Helfand grant for dissertation completion from Penn.
Deanna Day and Andy Hogan both won SAS Dissertation Research Fellowships.
Whitney Laemmli received SSRC funding.
Marissa Mika received SSRC funding and a SAS DRF; she will spend the summer researching in London, Kampala and Nairobi.
Grad student Joanna Radin is named a School of Arts and Sciences Dean's Scholar and awarded a Dissertation Completion Fellowship for the 2011-12 year. She has also been awarded a three-month fellowship at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin for the coming summer.
Maxwell Rogowski received the GAPSA-Provost Award for Interdisciplinary Innovation for summer research on late nineteenth century physicians advice manuals.
Brittany Shields received a DRF Penfield Award for summer research.
Grad student Kristoffer Whitney has received a Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship for 2011-12
