Dr. Aronowitz appointed to endowed Annenberg Chair

Dr. Robby Aronowitz has been appointed to the Walter H. and Leonore C. Annenberg Professorship in the Social Sciences.  
 
From Dean Fluharty: "I am pleased to confirm your appointment to the Walter H. and Leonore C. Annenberg Professorship in the Social Sciences effective July 1, 2018. Your official chair title will be Walter H. and Leonore C. Annenberg Professor in the Social Sciences. It is a privilege to acknowledge your distinguished scholarship and your outstanding service to the Department of History and Sociology of Science and the School of Arts and Sciences."
 
The Walter H. and Leonore C. Annenberg Professorships were established through the generosity of the late Ambassador Walter H. Annenberg, W’31, Hon’66, and his wife, the late Honorable Leonore Annenberg, Hon’85. The Annenbergs endowed many chairs in Penn Arts and Sciences and made countless generous contributions to the University. They also founded the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania in 1958 and were both emeritus trustees at Penn. Ambassador Walter H. Annenberg received Penn’s Alumni Award of Merit in 1991.
