History of quantification and mathematization in the life and human sciences: the overlapping histories of mathematics, physics, biology and engineering; history of the information and computing sciences: philosophy, democracy, people, numbers, and machines; history of psychology and the neuro- sciences: esp. their linguistic history: words & categories -- jargon -- and quantification; the economic history of science: who's funding whom, why, as well as the longue durée history of ``technoscience" and spin-offs; history of military and intelligence science and technology; literary (and other cultural) history of science and technology.

Previously, I've worked in quantum information and computation, and, for my MA thesis, on mathematics in the works of Jorge Luis Borges.
