The STSC major requires two core courses.

ONE OF THOSE COURSES must be either:

• STSC 0100 - Emergence of Modern Science  (usually offered in the fall term)
• STSC 0600 - Technology and Society  (usually offered in the spring term)

THE OTHER CORE COURSE must be among the following:

• STSC 1600 - Information Age
• STSC 1880 - Environment and Society
• STSC 2080 - Science and Religion
• STSC 1120 - Science, Technology and Warfare
• Or STSC 0100 or STSC 0600

NOTE

• There are no substitutes for these core courses. 
• Students majoring in STSC should have these courses completed before senior year.
• Students may take STSC 0100 and STSC 0600 as their two core courses.
