Nadia Berenstein
Nadia Berenstein is a third-year graduate student in the History & Sociology of Science. Her current work investigates the history of synthetic flavors. Her other interests include but are not limited to: species extinction and fantasies of resurrecting vanished forms of life, hunters and their role in the conservation movement, fossils in the Americas, good and bad animals and how they got that way, natural history museums and other specimen collections, surrealism and science, women who love insects, and Patagonia. She holds a BA in English Lit from Harvard (2002) and an MA in Humanities & Social Thought from NYU (2009).
