Joy Rohde

Joy Rohde (August 2007) successfully defended her dissertation in May, and is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in Cambridge, MA.

Sejal Patel

Sejal Patel (August 2007) is a Post-Doctoral fellow with the Robert Wood Johnson Health and Societies Scholars Program, in Madison, WI for the 2007-2009 academic years.

Eve Buckley

Eve Buckley (May 2006) is an Assistant Professor in the History Department at the University of Delaware, teaching Latin American history and history of medicine.

Jeremy Vetter

Jeremy Vetter (August 2005) has been appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Dickinson College.

Yashushi Sato

Yashushi Sato (May 2005) has won a three-year post-doctoral fellowship from the Japan Foundation for the Promotion of Science, and has been at the University of Tsukuba since May 1.

Jeff Tang

Jeff Tang (December 2004) is an Assistant Professor at James Madison University in the Integrated Science and Technology Department (CISAT).

Chloe Silverman

Chloe Silverman (August 2004) has been appointed Assistant Professor at Penn State University.

Carla Keirns

Carla Keirns (December 2004) graduated with an MD/PhD, completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006, and is now at the University of Michigan in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program doing research at the intersection of clinical medicine, health policy, and medical history.

Alex Checkovich

Alex Checkovich (August 2004) has a post-doctoral appointment in the Department of Science, Technology and Society at the University of Virginia.

Phillip Cho

Phillip is in his second year of a two year post doctoral fellowship at the Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing. In the summer of 2008 he will move to Berlin, to begin a two year fellowship at the Max Planck Institute.

Hilary Smith


Hilary Smith has accepted a tenure-track postion as Assistant Professor in the History and Political Science Department at Meredith College, Raleigh, North Carolina, beginning in Fall 2008.

Dominique Tobbell

Dominique Tobbell will be the Program Manager in Biotechnology, History, and Policy in the Center for Contemporary History and Policy, Chemical Heritage Foundation, beginning in summer 2008.
