Health and Societies Concentration Templates (Required and pre-approved courses)
The following templates list courses that have been pre-approved for the eight concentrations within the Health & Societies major. Courses not listed in the templates may be added by submitting a Petition to the HSOC coordinator for approval. Though each student’s program may be modified to account for individual interests, it must provide a rigorous, coherent and in-depth academic experience. Students are expected to consult with their major advisors, the HSOC coordinator, and/or the HSOC director in developing their concentrations
Since the course offerings at the university are constantly changing, students should use the course scanner from the Penn Web to do a directed search for relevant course offerings in addition to those suggested for each template.
