HSOC
Jessica Ho '09 has been elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Laura Pang '09 will intern this summer at the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.

Sabrina Aggarwal has won the prestigious Wellstone Fellowship at the Families USA office in Washington, DC. Sabrina was selected to be the HSOC flagbearer at graduation for her exceptional contributions to the major.
Ed Berchick is going to Yale University for an MPH.
Aaron Cohen has been elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He will be attending medical school next year here at Penn.
Michelle Cohen will be working for Hewitt Associates of Chicago (an HR consulting firm) in their Health Management division.
Rachel Conrad will be working as a consultant for Bain & Co. in Boston.
Ella Dutton will be a Research Assistant at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago for Dr. Mark Siegler.
Josh Farhadian will be attending the New York University School of Medicine.
Kylie Gattinella has accepted a full-time position in Investment Management at Morgan Stanley in Manhattan.
Rachel Han will be working as a consultant in the Health and Benefits division of Mercer.
Alyssa Huegel is starting a PhD program at Penn in Microbiology, Virology and Parasitology, and will be in the Public Health Certificate Program as well.
Nick Iacobelli will be working half-time at CHOP, half time in the Penn Anthropology Department, and applying for MD/PhD programs in Medical Anthropology.
Allison Lentz will be studying in a seminary in Israel.
Jennifer Leone will be a research analyst for the Lewin Group, a health care consulting firm in Falls Church, VA.
Alexandra Malebranche is attending Columbia Dental School in the fall.
Brittany Middlebrooks will be teaching science in a Miami, Florida secondary school while pursing a Master's degree in Education.
Jason Nagata has won a Thouron Fellowship, which provides one to two years of tuition fees plus a living allowance/ travel stipend for a student to pursue a degree program or its equivalent at a British educational institution. Jason has was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and awarded the College Alumni Society Prize in Health and Societies for outstanding academic achievement and service to the major and to the wider community.
Maria Rivera will be attending medical school at Penn. She was awarded the Society of the College Prize for writing the most outstanding senior honors thesis for HSOC, titled "The Impact of Reconstructive Surgery on the Daily Lives of Children with Cleft Lip and Palate."
Katie Simon will be a consultant/researcher in the civil government sector of SRA International. This company, which has contracts with government agencies such as the Library of Congress, FDA, NIH, and USAID, aims to help them take advantage of new technologies and assist them in identifying new and/or improved strategies for providing high quality service to the public.
Erica Stutius will be researching socioeconomic disparities in oral health at the Forsyth Institute in Boston and applying dental school for admission in Fall 2009 where she plans to get a DMD/MPH.

L. Schuyler Ferguson was awarded the Society of the College Prize for writing the most outstanding senior honors thesis for STSC, titled "Dynamic Trust Mechanisms In Cyberspace: How Do Users And Systems Respond To Anonymity Online?"
David Lundmark is seeking a clinical research position at Mass General in Boston.
Laura Paliani will spend next year traveling and volunteering at a program from deaf children in New York City, before entering the University of Virginia School of Law in the fall of 2009. Laura was selected as STSC flagbearer for her exceptional contributions to the major.
